Guys, it is difficult to have a DIY/fashion/photography blog in college.  Or at least it is for me so far.  Hence the lack of fashion and DIY.  It’s getting close to the end of the semester which means LOTS of studying for finals and what not. Yippee.

So I’m going on a blogging hiatus for a little while. I know I haven’t been dedicated to making new posts and just do things sporadically, but I am now going on a permanent break.

I need a few months to get back on my feet, get ready for my summer job, and brainstorm ideas for my blog.

I love blogging, I think it’s so much fun, so I don’t want to give it half-effort.

So hopefully next time you see me here, I will have a revamped blog with all kinds of new and exciting things.

Alrighty everybody…time to say good-bye for a little bit.  I’ll see you soon, and I promise not to disappoint :)

Much love,

Churches & Staircases

Recently it was so gorgeous outside, we were so not in the mood to be on campus, so me and my roommate Shelby decided to go and take some pictures near downtown of areas we thought were cool.  We took a lot of pictures, but these are most of my favorites. (I know there’s a lot of Shelby on the stairs…but they’re so great, I couldn’t help myself.)

This old building is a broken down studio I’m pretty sure, and I’ve had my eye on it since I moved down here.  If I could live in it, that would be a dream.

And can we talk about how beautiful my roommate is? Come on.  What a stunner.

And Happy Easter everyone, I hope you had a wonderful, long weekend!

Much love,

So I guess we’ve all noticed I’ve been lacking on the blog…

I’m marking March of 2012 the lowest point of my life (aka the laziest point) for no particular reason.  No idea why I was so unproductive.

But April is already a turn around.  I feel very motivated and inspired to maximize potential (except in the school area…that stuff is hard to get motivated for. Erk!) I think it’s “the big 2-0” as my roommate put it earlier.  By the end of this week, I’ll officially no longer be a teenager. *HUGE sigh of relief.

Soooo anyways, here’s what’s going on in my life via Instagrams!

Well I’m not sure if I’ll be here again before the end of the week, so have a marvelous rest of your week and a stupendous weekend!

Much love,

Spring break 2012 came and went in a flash…which only means school is that much closer to ending. 6 MORE WEEKS.

Still sad it’s over thought.  It was SOO much fun.  Went up to Utah to visit friends I haven’t seen in a long time, and of course met some awesome new friends.

We went to one of those places with trampolines and foam pits everywhere.  Can’t you tell we all had an awesome time? ^^  We really did though…also an exhausting experience.

Came back home for part of the break and went to a friend’s wedding with this lovely lady.  She’s the best.

Then went to the canyon with another best friend of mine, which was gorgeous as always.  And I also got really scratched up in the process.  I didn’t get a picture of it, but I found a vintage beverage bottle in the canyon that I could NOT go without.  So through the come down and the fall I encountered, the bottle remained.  My life was complete that day.

I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted to, but I have enough memories to hold on to from this break.  Home was good as always, and Utah was fantastic.  All of y’all that I met, you’re too cool for school.  I can’t wait to see y’all again!!

Much love,

Spending Too Much Time Saying “I want to…”

Like many of you, I’ve had many big and small goals all of my life.

I want to live in a place where God’s beauty reflects through everything (aka nature)

I want to craft all the time and surround myself with little things make me and other people happy.

I want to do ‘The Color Run’ with a bunch of friends then go jump in a lake afterwards.

I want to kiss in the rain.

I want to expand my photography/editing skills.

I want to play random games for no reason.

The problem is I’m always saying “I want…” or “I’ll do [insert goal] when I get to this certain point in my life.”

All I do is look at other people’s blogs and see their fabulous lives, and pin things on Pinterest waiting for the day when I actually succeed in living out my pins.

Now some things do require me to wait till I’m at a certain point in life, like living in a nature-filled place (gotta graduate college first, THEN feel free to move wherever). And other things require money which I need to start earning.

I have to get off my butt, get a job, save money, then DO things I want to do to LIVE.

I’m ready to meet new people, learn from their lives, and be able to tell stories about my life.
