New Lens!

I had the most amazing birthday weekend.  Seriously, to all my friends and family, thank you for being the most spectacular people I know and making my birthday special.  I love y’all!

I got some awesome gifts for my birthday, but the most exciting thing…well things I got were two new lens’ from Photojojo!

I got the Dreamy Diana Lens:

And the Fisheye Lens:

SO EXCITING!! Here’s some pics I took from the weekend :)

I haven’t had a chance to go out and use them to their full potential, but I love them and think they’re a lotta fun.  AND if you were wondering or not wondering…the first few pictures are from the Rangers game last Friday.  My first Rangers game was opening day with great seats on my birthday with my dad.  AWEsome day to say the least.

Much love,

Churches & Staircases

Recently it was so gorgeous outside, we were so not in the mood to be on campus, so me and my roommate Shelby decided to go and take some pictures near downtown of areas we thought were cool.  We took a lot of pictures, but these are most of my favorites. (I know there’s a lot of Shelby on the stairs…but they’re so great, I couldn’t help myself.)

This old building is a broken down studio I’m pretty sure, and I’ve had my eye on it since I moved down here.  If I could live in it, that would be a dream.

And can we talk about how beautiful my roommate is? Come on.  What a stunner.

And Happy Easter everyone, I hope you had a wonderful, long weekend!

Much love,

So I guess we’ve all noticed I’ve been lacking on the blog…

I’m marking March of 2012 the lowest point of my life (aka the laziest point) for no particular reason.  No idea why I was so unproductive.

But April is already a turn around.  I feel very motivated and inspired to maximize potential (except in the school area…that stuff is hard to get motivated for. Erk!) I think it’s “the big 2-0” as my roommate put it earlier.  By the end of this week, I’ll officially no longer be a teenager. *HUGE sigh of relief.

Soooo anyways, here’s what’s going on in my life via Instagrams!

Well I’m not sure if I’ll be here again before the end of the week, so have a marvelous rest of your week and a stupendous weekend!

Much love,

Nature Time

Yesterday was amazingly warm again so one of my roommates text me and said we should go to the Botanical Gardens. Heck yes.  Hadn’t been there yet and it’s free.

Sadly nothing was in bloom.  They’re in the process of re-planting everything for the spring season…however we did find a mystical little area consumed with trees, brooks, and all kinds of gorgeous greenery.  Kind of felt like Narnia.

Naturally something like this would happen to Shelby.  She loves Disney a lot…a whole lot. When we were walking back there was an Eeyore plopped in the middle of the garden.  It was very very sad for her to see the poor donkey all by his lonesome.

We ended up sitting him in front on a brick fence hoping his owner would soon find him.  Hopefully a little kid didn’t sleep without their Eeyore.

It was so nice and peaceful to just sit and resonate in the beauty of nature.  Good conversations and good silence.

Much love,

My Week in Instagrams

So it’s still winter, and we had 80 degree weather today.  The most amazing day.  When I was walking back to my dorm from class, I noticed how many people were multi-tasking by walking and using their cellphones.  The reason I just noticed is because I also typically use my phone as I’m walking to or from class.

Moon good as they were in elementary school.

It made me so sad to realize how much we’ve been missing!  We should all be appreciating and soaking in the amazingly beautiful day God gave us.  It was the same scenery as always, but the weather and the mood of the day just emphasized what a gorgeous campus this is.

Made a wall of hats. Who doesn't want lots of cool hats hanging up?

Then I strolled into our commons and saw that EVERYONE was sitting outside enjoying the weather.  Well maybe not everyone, but a ton of people.  That never happens.  People doing homework, playing guitar, doing cartwheels…it was awesome.  Then I went in my room to do homework and thought….what am I doing??

Mardi Gras Day in the BLUU. Beads and Cajun galore.

So now as I am blogging, I am sitting outside loving this 74 degree weather and also creeping on what everybody is out here doing.  Just sitting here in my own little world I can feel the connection between everyone.  That probably sounds extremely corny probably a tad weird, but it’s pretty freaking true.

Chocolate chip, potato chip, & pretzel cookies. YUM

This has just been a happy week in general.  Little things everyday that make the day grand.

Say hello to the MobQuad!

I hope your day was as wonderful as mine here in North Texas, and if not, I hope you fully appreciate and take advantage of awesome days that are coming your way.

Much love,
